Student Safety Cell
Your safety and well-being are important to us.
At The Reading Room, we are committed to creating a community where every member feels safe, respected, and comfortable while pursuing their studies.
If you ever experience or witness any behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or disrespected, you can confidentially reach out to us through our Student Safety Cell.
You can use it to report concerns such as:
- Inappropriate or unwanted messages.
- Harassment or uncomfortable interactions.
- Violation of personal boundaries.
- Misuse of your personal information.
- Any behaviour that goes against these Community Guidelines.
Telegram Privacy Tip: While we have taken steps to improve privacy within our Telegram communities, your Telegram username may still allow other members to find and message you privately. If you do not wish to receive personal messages, we recommend hiding your Telegram username from your profile.
Every report submitted through the Student Safety Cell is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and reviewed only by the authorized members of The Reading Room Team.
Our goal is simple – to ensure that every member can study with confidence, knowing that their safety, privacy, and well-being are valued.
Violations of the Guidelines
Depending on the nature of the violation, appropriate action may be taken, including:
- Warning
- Removal from a study session
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent removal from The Reading Room
Serious violations involving harassment, inappropriate behaviour, or actions that compromise another member’s safety may result in immediate removal.
The Reading Room Team, mentor, and faculty are committed to creating a safe, disciplined, and productive learning environment for everyone. We request all members to communicate with them respectfully and courteously at all times. Abusive language, personal attacks, or any form of disrespect towards The Reading Room Team, mentor, or faculty will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
